The Holy Cross Mission hospital will have all of the rooms, beds and equipment necessary to provide healthcare to the impoverished in the area. The nearest hospital is too far for them to access on foot. Just recently a woman in labor came to the Holy Cross Mission Hospital and the construction workers had to drive her to the nearest drug store because there was no way she was going to keep that baby in all the way to the local hospital! Can you imagine how terrified she must have been? This is a similar feeling that many of these less fortunate in the area feel when any emergency comes up. They have no where to go and they are scared. This is why Joseph has worked relentlessly for this hospital for years now! He knows this need so well, because he has been there! He watched his own niece pass away while he was living in Nigeria. Her death could have been avoided with proper care and nutrition.
