Housing + Support = Stability

The Inn Between has been providing families and individuals facing homelessness a pathway to a more stable future for 31 years.

"HOME" is not bricks, mortar, or timber. "HOME" is safety, comfort, respite, dignity, health, solidarity, and love.

Testimonials

For our residents, The Inn is more than just shelter; it's a home that offers hope for the future. A recent resident shared, "I'm so grateful. The Inn Between really saved my life. I left a life of domestic violence. I love it here, and I call it home. Now I am saving for a place for me and my daughter. After my time with The Inn Between, I will never be homeless again."

"The Inn Between is an amazing stepping stone for people who are getting back on their feet. I wish there were more programs like this one to help people because they helped me to grow and succeed."

Background Statement

For more than 30 years, The Inn Between of Longmont has been a place of refuge for people navigating one of life’s hardest challenges: not having a safe place to live. We believe that no one should face the fear and uncertainty of homelessness alone.

That’s why we provide more than just housing—we offer hope, stability, and the support people need to rebuild their lives right here in the St. Vrain Valley.

In our community today, housing is out of reach for far too many. Families are working full-time and still can’t afford rent. Seniors on fixed incomes are being priced out of their longtime homes. Children are growing up without the safety and security they deserve. Many of our neighbors are doing everything they can to avoid the streets—staying in motels, cars, or couch-hopping from place to place. The stress is relentless. And it makes it nearly impossible to plan for anything beyond the next day.

Last year, The Inn provided safe, stable, and affordable housing to 224 individuals, from infants to seniors. These are our neighbors—hardworking people facing tough odds, and all they need is a chance. At The Inn, they find it.

More than just a roof overhead, we offer a path forward. Our housing is paired with wraparound services and the caring support of our Housing Advocates, who walk alongside each resident as they set goals, build life skills, and take steps toward long-term stability.

We offer three housing programs tailored to different needs:

• Fresh Start Housing (FSH): For individuals transitioning out of homelessness, the justice system, or emergency shelter environments.

• Next Step Housing (NSH): For residents with work history or educational goals, this housing supports efforts to increase economic mobility and long-term stability.

• Fixed Income Housing (FIH): For seniors, individuals with disabilities, and others with complex needs who require permanent housing and connection to essential therapeutic and community resources.

This year, we celebrated a milestone: the grand opening of Wesley Townhomes in September—our newest development featuring 11 beautiful, affordable 2- and 3-bedroom homes. Wesley now brings our housing footprint to seven buildings in Longmont, allowing us to serve even more families who need a fresh start.

At The Inn Between, children rediscover what it means to feel safe. Parents finally exhale, knowing their kids have a bed to call their own. Seniors find peace and community. And many residents go on to secure market-rate housing, subsidized units, or even homeownership.

Homelessness is not the end of someone’s story. Here, it becomes a turning point.

Your support makes this transformation possible. Every gift helps keep a family together. Every dollar helps someone take a step forward. Every act of generosity opens the door to a better future.

Give today—and help provide the keys to HOME and a brighter future.
