For nearly five decades, the Indian community of Colorado Springs (ICCS) has flourished in its commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of India while also actively engaging in community-driven philanthropic endeavors. However, it was not until 2019 that this vibrant community took a formal step forward, establishing itself as a Colorado nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
An essential aspect of ICCS mission involves promoting Indian culture and instilling the values of giving and service within our community. ICCS at its core is founded on the principals of philanthropy and seeks to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, the flagship event being the annual cultural charity show. Below are a few of the recent contributions that ICCS has made to the Colorado Springs community.
- Endowment of $25,000 for Pikes Peak Library District’s Disability Readiness Programs
- Mental Health Endowed Fund of $25,000 at UCCS
- Active Duty Scholarship endowment of $25,000 at UCCS
In addition to these, ICCS have donated thousands of dollars over the years. Some of our other beneficiaries include Care and Share, Pikes Peak Red Cross, Morgan Adams Foundation, Colorado Springs police and fire departments, CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, and many other local charities
