We are In the Weeds (ITW), a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the well-being and empowerment of Colorado's vibrant Hospitality Industry Workforce. Our mission is driven by a passionate commitment to health equity, workforce development, and community resilience.
At ITW, we recognize the unique challenges faced by those working in the hospitality sector—many of whom are high school and college-aged students, low-income individuals, immigrants, Indigenous Peoples, and more. We believe that everyone deserves equal rights and opportunities, including the right to good health. Our work is guided by the principles of social justice, aiming to address avoidable inequities that result from unequal distribution of resources.
Our comprehensive approach revolves around wellness, collective individuality, and integrity. We offer a range of services tailored to the specific needs of the Hospitality Industry Workforce, from peer-to-peer support groups to life skills training, workforce development, and housing assistance. Every program is designed to be trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and multi-generational, ensuring that each person we serve can reach their highest potential.
