Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County

A nonprofit organization

Attacks on Immigrants in the age of Trump make licensed, affordable immigration legal assistance more important than ever. This returning president is once-again targeting not only newcomers, but long-term community members as well. Vulnerable populations from Venezuela, Central America, Haiti and beyond are in the crosshairs, as are entire programs including Temporary Protected Status and DACA. For 2025 we are focusing not only on individual legal assistance, but on empowering immigrants to fight back. Thank you for helping us on this mission!

Testimonials

MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE IMMIGRANT LEGAL CENTER OF BOULDER COUNTY:
We are proud to serve on the Immigrant Legal Center board and grateful for your support. Our focus is on Boulder County, but our clients come from across the State of Colorado. The Legal Center's staff is devoted to its cause, highly capable, and dedicated to providing affordable immigration-related legal assistance. Over our 20 year history the Center has transformed 875 undocumented Coloradans into Lawful Permanent Residents, assisted victims of crime including those fleeing war and famine, and helped community members take that final step to become U.S. citizens. Annually, the Legal Center helps more than 1,000 low-income immigrants, including 600 DACA recipients as they fight for a more permanent solution. As board members we are committed to helping ILCBC and its clients, and we hope you will join us. Your donation makes all the difference!

Laurel and her team at the Immigrant Legal Center worked with tenacity, compassion, and honesty to help me stay in the USA with my husband and my baby son. We are truly moved by the passion Laurel has for bringing positive growth into her community, and her country. We are grateful that our family is together and surrounded with opportunities for success, because of her hard work to help me obtain permanent residence. Thank you to the entire Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County!

Mission

The Mission of the Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County is to provide affordable, reliable legal assistance for low-income immigrants, inform the general public about difficulties encountered by immigrants, and advocate for a fair U.S. immigration system.

Background Statement

The Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County (ILCBC) is a non-profit law firm providing representation on immigration matters. But we are much more than that! ILCBC emerged from the immigrant rights struggle, which appeared on its way to victory until 9/11 transformed immigrants into scapegoats. ILCBC has helped bring immigrants out of the shadows, and serving nearly 1,000 unique immigrant clients each year.

Our Legal Center is directed by a Colorado licensed attorney, two DOJ Accredited Legal Representatives and a third representative-in-training who recently graduated from Skyline High School in Longmont. Our Legal Representatives were born in Latin America, are bi-cultural, native Spanish-speakers, and they have an uncanny connection to our clients. Their cultural and Spanish-language expertise fosters excellent rapport with our clients, 95% of our whom are first-language Spanish-speakers.
