The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs is proud to your local animal resource center and shelter; we dedicate all our resources to providing the care and enrichment every homeless pet deserves and to finding the right home for every animal that comes through our doors.
We also understand there are obstacles in the way of long-term pet ownership and have grown our pet retention services and resources to help the Pagosa Springs community overcome those barriers and keep pets with their families.
As the only animal shelter serving abandoned and homeless dogs and cats in Archuleta County, we reunite lost pets with their families, promote adoptions, provide free pet food to food pantries and individuals in need, offer low-cost vaccinations to the public, subsidize community spay/neuter, assist in emergency medical care and vet services to those that qualify, and aid feral cats TNR.
Our shelter has been filled to capacity all year and the revenue contributed from our Thrift Store has been reduced significantly due to the HWY 160 construction, so we need your help this giving season more than ever before.
Adoptions are down nationwide, and shelters all over are seeking alternative resources to care for their animals. We are so grateful for the loyal and generous support of Pagosa Springs that has enabled our work thus far, but we still need your help. Every dollar you give makes a difference in the lives of the pets in our care, as well as the people in our town. Please consider a meaningful donation to the well-being of the animals and people of Pagosa Springs.
