About HOPE
HOPE for Longmont exists to reduce the harm of homelessness and help people rebuild stability. Through daily outreach, basic needs services, crisis response, sheltering, and long-term case management, we provide the support and connection that open the door to housing. Your Colorado Gives Day donation directly fuels these programs and creates real, measurable change for our neighbors.
Since 2023, HOPE has helped over 240 individuals in Longmont move into housing.
Longmont faces a unique challenge: many of the people we serve are non-transient residents with strong ties to the community via long-term residency, family, employment, or medical needs. When you give to HOPE, you are directly helping the people who call Longmont home.
Across the country, homelessness is rising faster than communities can respond. The United States saw an 18% increase in homelessness from 2023 to 2024, climbing from 653,104 people to 771,480 (National Alliance to End Homelessness). In 2024, no community had enough permanent housing to meet the need; the system only had enough units to serve 16% of the households currently staying in shelters.
At HOPE, we are working to create real, lasting solutions. Your COGives Donation helps us:
Secure a permanent shelter space
Retain and support skilled staff
Purchase essential supplies for daily outreach and shelter services
Continue providing compassionate, housing-focused services to our community
Your support also directly strengthens Longmont’s safety net and helps HOPE continue turning crisis into stability, one person at a time.

"I truly miss your stern determination and foresight in so far as what I needed to do to get to where I am at today. I miss your friendship and the confidence that you showed me, however, without those important factors I would have likely remained in the shelters and on the streets."
