HOPE Host Home Program

Our HOPE Host Home Program offers transitional housing, financial assistance through our Empowerment Toolkit, and comprehensive case management for 90 days. This initiative helps individuals and families transition from crisis to hope and aims to create long-term stability driven by individualized goals. By fostering cultural exchange and relational diversity, the program reduces social isolation and builds a sense of belonging for guests and hosts. Leveraging our grassroots network and committed volunteers, we enhance community integration, promote mutual understanding, and bridge social divides, ensuring that everyone finds a place to belong.

Pathways to HOPE Sessions

Hope Has No Borders provides asylum  & work authorization support sessions in Spanish throughout Metro Denver. While we do not offer legal advice, we assist individuals in completing their pro se  asylum applications using technology for translation and form completion. Spanish-speaking volunteers are available to support participants through the process. We believe no one should be denied the opportunity to file for asylum due to the cost of hired legal aid. At our sessions, we merely request a $25 fee per application to offset our costs for printing and postage. We ensure that applications are correctly mailed to all locations and provide follow-up support, including guidance on address updates & information on future work authorization requests.  Private, bilingual EAD support sessions are offered upon referral.

HOPE Community Service Partnerships

These mutually beneficial partnerships connect renowned local non-profits with much needed volunteers support service. In turn, our program not only provides participants with donation-based gifts as a token of appreciation for volunteerism, but also offers valuable real-life experience, education around cultural expectations, and enhances resumes and work readiness. By fostering local partnerships, we connect migrants with nonprofit organizations, like WeeCycle, The Jeffco Action Center, & Joyful Journeys. These partnerships facilitate cultural integration and contribution to a stronger, more vibrant community for all.

Crisis to HOPE Fund

Hope Has No Borders established the Crisis to HOPE Fund (CHF) to offer one-time, urgent financial assistance to individuals facing critical needs beyond the scope of other support systems. The CHF provides immediate, flexible support for essential areas such as work, shelter, medical care, and transportation, ensuring stability during emergencies. Modeled after successful grassroots initiatives, the CHF delivers responsive and preventative assistance, offering hope and practical aid to community members in times of crisis. By addressing urgent financial challenges with targeted, one-time grants- paired with 30 days of case management- this fund helps individuals regain stability and avoid ongoing dependency on emergency support.

Giving Activity

Mission

Hope Has No Borders is committed to providing humanitarian relief and community support to individuals as they transition from crisis to hope. Our goal is to create long-term stability without the need for ongoing support.

Background Statement

Grassroots

Hope Has No Borders blossomed from Denver's grassroots movement, ignited by compassionate moms and neighbors. Our journey sparked from a heartfelt commitment to addressing a humanitarian crisis as thousands of migrants were bussed into our city. Faced with urgent needs, like housing for children and individuals living on our streets, feeding hungry people, and ensuring newcomers arriving in sandals had winter clothing, we swiftly mobilized.

Within four days in early November 2023, 1000 moms and neighbors were mobilized, and in 12 weeks, our grassroots movement grew to over 6000 in the metro area. Today, we stand strong with over 8000 (and counting) committed individuals dedicated to meeting needs and bringing hope to our city. As our grassroots movement expanded, we recognized the crucial need for stable housing and employment.

Witnessing the generosity of hundreds of volunteers opening their hearts and homes, we structured our official Host Home Program. This initiative program connects community members with spare space to migrants in need of transitional housing. Additionally, we heard the resounding desire for work, not handouts. Migrants volunteered to help one another in a vast distribution closet formed by our grassroots movement. In a similar fashion our community service program is designed to empowers newcomers to engage in various volunteer service projects, showcasing their value and work ethic while providing opportunities for skill development, reference-building, and financial support through gifted donations.

Anchored in our grassroots origins in Denver, our aim is to nurture a supportive environment fostering integration, cultural connections, and meaningful contributions to our vibrant community. Together, we are replacing crisis with HOPE.
