As an all volunteer nonprofit charity (meaning 100% of donations go towards the cause), we are one of the few charities with an all volunteer staff. We are guided by a greater calling to be in the service of children in need. As displayed in this fund raiser, we believe in an all hands all shoes on deck approach. When we see children in need, we look for ways to help. This campaign is to help needy children of Cedarwood Christian Academy in Aurora, to assist needy children with the current school year and upcoming year with school supplies, books, in addition with tuition for the children in need, and the overall well being of the school.
All funds collected are always spent on the direct cause, if any additional funds collected over the goal will also go towards the cause to maximize helping these children and the school. As a small Colorado based nonprofit charity, we are truly blessed to have a global impact in helping children and even families in need; From hosting BBQ events in Denver parks for the homeless, distributing of meals to the needy, donating school supplies and materials for small schools, to shipping medical supplies, clothing, food items, and such to the Philippines, and collection of clothing and shoes for Mongolia. We are simply a God-loving people who are driven by a single mindset. God so loved us and as a result we in turn share that same love for one another. Helping Children was first thought of while I was deployed to areas of Africa, then later mission work in far east Asia and work in parts of southeast America. Having seen the suffering of many helpless and sometimes abandoned children and elderly, Helping Children was born in 2008 and our eyes have not been closed since. Our hope is that others will show this same love.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with helping children with basic needs. Helping the less fortunate children, the down and out, is something that we take very seriously.
The mission of Helping Children is to assist children and families in Denver CO. area, Mindanao region of the Philippines, and material assistance to Mongolia while aiming to enhance their quality of life and support their personal and professional success. The organization seeks to alleviate financial hardships and reduce poverty, helping families achieve a normal life. By building self-esteem and fostering a sense of achievement among underprivileged children, it aims to create pathways to success. Proposed activities will draw on the life experiences of successful individuals, including educators and those involved in missionary work, who have firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by these children. Ultimately, the organization strives to provide essential support and resources to empower children in need.
