WHO WE ARE
Grovewood Community Development believes that stable affordable housing serves as a critical foundation for economic and social well-being.
In 1995, three South Denver human services organizations — The Recovery Foundation, AllHealth Network and Continuum of Colorado — saw an opportunity to amplify their reach and effectiveness in helping people of limited means and challenging circumstances thrive. These three organizations joined forces and Community Housing Development Association was born.
In 2023, reflecting on our organization’s work over the years, we rebranded as Grovewood Community Development – a nod to our projects’ connection to nature, our strong roots in South Metro Denver, and our work to create diverse communities where people are empowered to grow and thrive.
For 28 years, Grovewood has been building sustainable, affordable communities that serve individuals across a wide range of incomes and life circumstances. Grovewood continues to serve our community by providing safe affordable housing for everyone from working families, to seniors, people with disabilities, mental illness or substance use disorders. Between our team and a growing coalition of community partners, we are committed to meeting residents where they are and finding opportunities to positively impact their daily quality of life. Alongside our partners, we are changing the perception of what is possible when it comes to affordable housing and the residents who call these developments home, creating positive ripple effects for generations of Coloradoans.
