At Gray Muzzle Society, we believe every animal deserves a chance to grow old in the warmth of a family—no matter their age, size, or story. Based in Morrison, Colorado, we are a rescue and sanctuary where misfits, seniors, and special-needs animals get a second chance at a happy ending.

What we do

  • Senior & special-needs dogs and cats: We partner with local shelters so that senior or medically complex pets are given the second chance they deserve. Every animal in our care is brought into loving homes, given diagnostics, surgeries, dental care, and support until they find a forever home.

  • Molly’s Menagerie (farm animal sanctuary): From goats and pigs to roosters and orphan lambs, our Menagerie is a safe haven for farm animals often overlooked, so they get the love, space, and quality of life they deserve.

  • Reptile Rehab: We don’t stop at fur. Many reptiles are surrendered to local shelters in critical condition due to misinformed owners. We rehabilitate these reptiles, educate adopters, and help them find forever homes.

Mission

Gray Muzzle Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to giving every animal the chance to grow old. We work to end animal suffering through support programs, adoption, education, and advocacy.

Background Statement

Founded in 2020 by former shelter workers united by the belief that every animal deserves a second chance at a happy ending, Gray Muzzle Society rescues and advocates for animals who are too often forgotten. What began as a small foster-based rescue for senior dogs and cats has grown into a multifaceted organization serving animals of all kinds from our home base in Morrison, Colorado.

Our programs now include Molly’s Menagerie, a farm-animal sanctuary that provides lifelong refuge to pigs, goats, sheep, and roosters; Reptile Rehab, which rescues and rehabilitates surrendered reptiles while educating the public on proper care; and Operation Amazonas, an international spay/neuter and animal-welfare initiative in the Colombian Amazon.

Beyond rescue and sanctuary work, we also provide aid to pet owners in crisis, helping families avoid surrender by offering veterinary assistance, food support, and temporary placement options.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Gray Muzzle Society stands for compassion, collaboration, and lifelong care. Through rescue, rehabilitation, community outreach, and education, we’re working to build a more humane world—one where no animal grows old, or is forgotten, alone.
