These stories come from caregivers who experienced rest, laughter, and renewal—thanks to the generosity of donors like you.

Every day of our lives is scheduled—taking care of our child,
getting away, and being able to rest without a schedule
was amazing. We realized how valuable it was for us.

We are incredibly grateful. The best part was being out on
Lake Granby, not having to think every five minutes—‘Are the kids all right?’ We were able to just relax and be with each other.

With tears in her eyes, one caregiver mom said, ‘I have not
laughed this much in years. Being able to sit with other
caregiver moms and talk, to laugh—it was so healing. Because now I go back to real life with five boys and many different medical issues.

The best part was to be able to do what we love.
When we had free time, we’d look at each other and
say, ‘What do we never get to do?’ And then we’d go do it!”

sleep all through the night soundly without waking
up several times to help her with her oxygen was an incredible gift.

Background Statement
Grant A Dream was born out of the heart of a mother who has been a caregiver for 35 years. Our founder knows firsthand the exhaustion, isolation, and emotional toll of raising a child with complex medical needs.
Caregiver parents often pour everything into their children and rarely take a break. Over time, burnout and fatigue can leave them feeling invisible and alone. That’s why Grant A Dream exists — to give these parents a few days of peace, rest, and renewal through fully funded 3-night Dream Getaways.
Since 2018, we’ve granted over 195 Dreams, serving 393 caregivers. After their getaway, 85% report feeling rested and hopeful again.
We believe the greatest gift you can give a child is a rested parent — because when parents are restored, the whole family thrives.
