About Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP)

At the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP), we believe in building a thriving Western Colorado where individuals, families, and businesses can forge their own paths to success. We are the official economic development agency for Mesa County, serving the communities of Grand Junction, Fruita, and Palisade.

Our mission is to grow and diversify the local economy by attracting, retaining, and expanding primary businesses—those that bring new dollars into the region. We do this through proactive support, strategic partnerships, and a deep commitment to community prosperity.

What We Do

We are connectors, problem-solvers, and advocates for business growth. Whether a company is relocating to the area or expanding within the region, GJEP provides:

  • Access to local, state, and federal business incentives

  • A curated portfolio of available land and commercial properties

  • Direct connections to key local and state decision-makers

  • Relocation support for businesses and their employees

  • Promotion of Western Colorado’s unique business assets

  • Annual hosting of the Western Colorado Economic Summit

  • Collaboration with pro-business partners and stakeholders

Through these efforts, we not only strengthen the local economy but also enhance quality of life across Mesa County.

Our Impact in 2024

Thanks to the generous support of our investors and community partners, GJEP made a powerful impact this year:

  • 299 new primary jobs created with an average salary of $62,201

  • 147 additional projected jobs underway

  • $32.9 million in employment-related economic impact

  • $58.3 million in capital expenditure investment

  • $91.25 million in total economic impact

For every $1 invested in GJEP, we delivered $93 in economic return.

Why Your Support Matters

Your investment helps us champion the future of Western Colorado. It fuels job creation, drives business innovation, and builds a more resilient and inclusive local economy. Together, we can ensure Mesa County remains a place where opportunity thrives.
