The Grand Valley Creative Alliance (GVCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the creative economy of Western Colorado. As one of the region’s emerging creative hubs, GVCA connects and supports artists, makers, and cultural organizations at every stage of their journey, from those taking their first steps to seasoned creatives expanding their impact. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, we’re building a network where creative people and ideas can thrive.
Introducing The ARTery — Our First Major Capital Project
As GVCA has grown, the need for a centralized, accessible creative space has become clear. In response, we launched The ARTery, a new community art studio designed to give artists the tools, workspace, and community they need to flourish. On November 12, we celebrated the official groundbreaking, a major milestone for the arts in the Grand Valley and the beginning of a long-awaited investment in local creative infrastructure.
The ARTery will provide:
Affordable studio and workspace
Shared tools, equipment, and professional support
Workshops, classes, and business development resources
A collaborative environment that strengthens connection and fuels creative growth
This space brings GVCA’s mission to life, transforming support for the arts from an idea into a physical home where creativity can be built, shared, and sustained.
Colorado Gives Day donations help build it.
All Colorado Gives Day contributions will go directly toward the capital campaign for The ARTery, supporting construction and build-out costs. Your gift helps ensure that this community-driven vision becomes a long-term, sustainable resource for artists across the Grand Valley.
