We are now in our third year of operation as a free and charitable clinic serving the uninsured and underinsured people of Western Colorado. Our all-volunteer health professionals have provided primary medical and mental health care to over 1000 patients.

Testimonials

Last year we added a Women's Wellness Clinic based on the needs of our patients. Uninsured women in our community are deferring PAP Tests and other important preventive services because of cost and access barriers. A specially trained Nurse Practitioner and the local pathologists volunteer their time and expertise to conduct the clinic monthly. We have cared for over 50 women already. The first patient was a 22-year-old for her first PAP test. This young patient was especially grateful for the unhurried, personalized, and private care she received. At the same clinic, a 65-year-old patient was seen who had not had a PAP test for 10 years. This patient was thankful that her tests results were normal, and she could stop worrying.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the community. We are solely supported by donations that we use to purchase supplies and medical equipment. Together, we are making a difference in our community. One patient at a time.

Mission

Our Mission- to eliminate barriers, increase access, and improve health equity for uninsured, underinsured, undocumented, and underserved people in our community.

Our Vision- to provide a safety net for people that need basic, routine medical and mental health care.

Our Values- our community, our responsibility.

"Every change we make as a community gives people the opportunity to make choices that allow them to live a long and healthy life."

Background Statement

Good Samaritan Clinic was established as a 501c3 charitable clinic in December 2016 to meet the proven needs of our community. Even with the recent changes brought about by The Affordable Care Act, there are people in Mesa County that lack access to health care. By mobilizing health resources and leveraging relationships, the Good Samaritan Clinic provides entry into the health care system for people that lack the ability to pay for care.
