Background Statement
Furnishing Hope was founded after our President, Kimie Kreidle, lost her mother and found herself surrounded by a house full of well-loved furniture, each piece holding a lifetime of memories.
As she looked around at those furnishings, Kimie realized that every home holds stories, and every piece of furniture has the power to bring warmth and dignity to another family in need.
From that moment, the seed for Furnishing Hope was planted.
Furnishing Hope blends compassion with sustainability, collecting gently used furniture and home goods to keep them out of landfills and into the hands of individuals and families rebuilding their lives. By keeping quality furniture and home goods out of landfills, we reduce waste, protect the environment, and promote an eco-conscious circular approach to giving. Each piece finds a new home: offering not just a bed or a table, but a true sense of home and hope, while caring for our planet.
