The mission of Friends of Yampa Valley Arts is to produce, promote, and foster artists of all ages, abilities, and genres with opportunities to perform, practice, and showcase their craft throughout the Yampa Valley.
Our organization was founded in 2010 with the goal of preserving and programming the Historic Chief Theater. Our mission has been accomplished and the owners of the building are taking over as the managers of the facility. As a result, we have re-branded from Friends of the Chief Foundation to Friends of Yampa Valley Arts. We offer youth classes and programming across the entire Yampa Valley at a multitude of venues.
