The Friends of the Lafayette Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to support the Lafayette Public Library in Colorado.

Donations of gently used books sold at quarterly sales and our permanent book store as well as financial gifts are a critical funding source for programs at the Library.  

Mission

The Friends shall be a non-profit organization under the Federal IRS regulations and the laws of the State of Colorado, whose purpose shall be to:

(a) encourage public interest in the Lafayette Public Library (hereafter in this document known as “Library”) and its services and facilities;

(b) examine the Library’s needs and raise funds for the Library; and

(c) encourage gifts, endowments & bequests for the Library to help meet those needs.

Background Statement

The Friends of the Lafayette Colorado Library Foundation was founded in 1995 to enrich the programs and services of the Lafayette Public Library. For 28 years your financial gifts have directly supported lifelong learning and literacy by providing FREE access to Lafayette Public Library programs for all residents.
