FAR's mission is simple: create a culture of community and outdoor recreation in Fremont County. To that end, we help create trail systems and recreational amenities, help maintain those amenities, and create events and meetups that introduce individuals and families to recreational adventures.
We assist with and coordinate recreational events for all ages and abilities throughout the year. Our events include: Resolution Run, Snow Queen Frosty February 5K, RunBlossom, YETI Youth Running Program, and the Tunnel Vision Duathlon. We also assist with the creation and stewardship of trail systems in the area by working in concert with land managers and funders to help create trails and recreation amenities that benefit both residents and visitors to the area. Our annual Adventure Guide is designed with every trail user in mind and is distributed to each 6th grade student in our community.
