Fraser Valley Arts is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in January of 2021 with the mission to build the Fraser Center for the Arts and, promote, and sustain creative endeavors across the Fraser Valley. The goal of the all-volunteer Board is to achieve this mission by engaging with all people of the valley, offering programming and access to all.
In 2021 we established ourselves in the community by connecting artists to opportunities, residents and visitors to arts and arts education, and hosted 23 Plein Air Artists in the Valley in September who produced over 60 paintings of our environs that now adorn the homes and businesses of residents, businesses, and visitors to the Valley. In 2022 we continued to grow Plein Air @ Altitude, partnered with Winter Park resort for summer art experiences for guests and residents, and conducted painting and pottery seminars for the community. Dates for Plein Air @ Altitude in 2023 are Auguest 25 - September 2. We also partner with the Town of Fraser for the Fraser Mountain Mural Festival and the Fraser Fire and Ice Winter Festival and Colorado Snow Sculpting Championships.
The ultimate goal of Fraser Valley Arts is to fund the creation of the Fraser Center for Creative Arts, a vision created by the Town of Fraser and its stakeholders. The nearer term roadmap includes providing the community with artistic opportunities in cooperation with the Fraser Valley Recreation District, the Town of Fraser and other stakeholders. These are in the form of classes and seminars, events such as the Fraser Mural Festival and a revival of the Plein Air tradition in Grand County, and collaboration with other like-minded organizations in the Valley.The goal of the all-volunteer Board is to achieve this mission by engaging with all people of the valley, offering programming and access to all.
