Homes unlock the ability to rest, nourish, dream, connect, and grow. For some families, a home needs to be coupled with additional support to truly realize these things. That is where FRH Connects comes in. Foothills Regional Housing, Jefferson County's largest affordable housing provider, provides the physical shelter, while FRH Connects provides these families with both immediate and long-term support to move from surviving to thriving.

FRH Connects supports the wellbeing of Foothills Regional Housing's affordable housing residents and Housing Choice Voucher clients through the following programs:

Eviction prevention

  • Nearly 100 evictions prevented in 2026.

Service coordination

  • Over 1,000 interactions per year with FRH families. These support all areas of stability include food access, mental and physical health care, employment, education, transportation, and more!

Community building

  • Dozens of events held in 2026, including 4 resource fairs featuring community partners.

Housing navigation

  • A NEW program launching 2027! This will support HCV families in finding and accessing quality homes in high-opportunity neighborhoods.

A contribution to FRH Connects will go 100% towards these programs and supporting the futures of FRH families.

Mission

FRH Connects mission is to build brighter futures by providing FRH families with the resources and support they need to create life-enriching opportunities.

Background Statement

Foothills Regional Housing was founded in 1975. Since then, the housing authority has grown to serve over 3,000 households per year through affordable rentals and Housing Choice Vouchers.

FRH began to realize that a home was often not enough to truly stabilize households and allow them to thrive. In 2019, FRH launched service coordination to better connect residents to organizations that can provide them with additional support in whatever areas they need.

After COVID, this service became increasingly needed, however, as a housing authority, FRH was limited in growing services due to an inability to fundraise. That is where FRH Connects comes in.

Founded in 2025, FRH Connects, a 501(c)3, unlocks grants and donations that have expanded service coordination and community building, and launched eviction prevention and housing navigation programs.

Contributions to FRH Connects go directly towards supporting the growth and potential of FRH families.
