The First Peoples Community Center aims to serve Native individuals and families through cultural connection, education, economic opportunities and health-focused initiatives. Since our 501C(3) approval in April 2025, we have been steadily growing our organizational capacity and convening community to implement Indigenous innovation to our program design.
Our organization is intergenerational and intertribal in service.
In our early growth, we have built a Native library, launched our Tribal Citizenship & Community Education Series, supported Thursday Culture Nights and expanded cultural access initiatives like the Spring Bison Blessing, Fall Harvest Dinner, & transportation to Denver March Powwow. To better understand local priorities, we have also began our Community Listening Sessions which will be the guide for our services & programs in 2027.
At this time, we are seeking support with the following initiatives:
1. Computer Lab Equipment & Technology Tools- This investment will aid our ability to buy computers and important Native language learning tools and resume building platforms.
2. In-House Resource & Referral- Our organization is building the organizational infrastructure to implement a case management system to support families in need.

The First Peoples’ Community Center (FPCC) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is responsive to the needs of Native American/Indigenous people in the City of Fort Collins and the surrounding area. The purpose is to support the community to connect to each other and to the land and its inhabitants. FPCC will create a forum to identify and illuminate traditional values and support healthy traditional lifestyles in balance with the modern world. We seek to foster a community that is resilient, respectful, inclusive and recognizes the diversity of Native America.
