Fairview Orchestra Booster Club

Led by Dr. Lee Anderson, the Fairview High School Orchestra is the largest orchestra program in Boulder Valley School District, with 4 orchestra ensembles representing 130 students.  Fairview's orchestras have received numerous awards and recognition, and engage the community through three major concerts each year, as well as performing at Senior Centers and special events around the Boulder community.  Major concerts are free and open to the public. 

Since Dr. Anderson arriving at Fairview in 2021, his orchestras have consistently received Superior ratings at the Colorado ASTA Large Group Regional and State festivals every year. Under his baton, the Fairview Chamber Orchestra was recently invited to perform at the 2027 Colorado Music Educator Association conference for the 11th time in Fairview's history. In 2024, Mr. Anderson and the Fairview Chamber Orchestra were invited to perform at the National Orchestra Festival in Louisville, Kentucky where they were honored with a 3rd place finish. The Chamber Orchestra also performed as one of four nationally invited string orchestras at the 2025 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, IL.

The Fairview Orchestra Booster Club was created by a group of parents in 2023 who recognized the growing need to support the orchestra with fundraising, volunteering, and administrative support. 

Funds raised support the following priorities:

• Intensive workshops by guest instructors, performers, conductors

• Transportation costs to attend competitions

• Competition fees to local, regional, and national events

• Uniforms or instrument rental support upon request so cost is not a barrier for students

• New instruments as needed for students

• Community building: pizza parties before concerts, annual awards banquet, etc

• Program printing, music purchasing, and more
