Testimonials

I am full of admiration for those who dedicate their time, effort and unconditional love to the arts in our community. There is vision here, a simple and effective way to bring together neighbors and neighborhoods. It is a lofty idea that is repeated in hundreds of communities across our nation. What could be more gratifying than to expose our children to the art of "giving back" rather than allow them to focus on "what you can do for me."

Saturday night, Joe and I went up to Castle Rock to see the play. It was HILARIOUS! Haven't laughed this much in awhile. The acting was outstanding!

Our son is in the International Baccalaureate program at Douglas County High School. One of the other moms took her daughter and a niece (both about 16) to see one of the early perfromances of The Wisdom Within These Walls - they were all blown away by the show. It was especially illuminating for the two teens who, completely naturally, had only an abstract understanding of WW II, the NASA programs, etc. Hearing these stories from the lives of local people really brought history alive for them - along with the amazement that such Important People lived right here, in Castle Rock!

My daughter LOVED LOVED LOVED the summer camp. We can't wait to do another program again soon! Thanks for all the hard work!

Mission

Front Range Theatre Company (FRTC) empowers students of all backgrounds by providing equitable, year-round access to pre-professional training in the performing arts. We nurture creativity, build confidence, and equip young artists with the skills to succeed on and off the stage.

Background Statement

In 1998 Castle Rock Players (CRP) was established as a 501c-3.

In 2010 CRP voted to change its name from Castle Rock Players to The Front Range Theatre Company (FRTC). We believe that this name change better reflects our broader reach and the broader communities whom we serve.

Front Range Theatre Company (FRTC), based in the South Denver Metro area, is a non profit and an award-winning organization that has been providing exceptional educational theatre experiences for children and adults for over a decade. We are dedicated to the entire performing arts process, ensuring that every participant, whether on or off-stage, has the opportunity to grow. Our diverse programming—including our well-known Triple Threat Summer Camps, dynamic partnerships with Douglas County Libraries, and festive holiday productions—offers unique, high-quality experiences for performers and technicians at every level. Whether developing foundational skills to cultivate the love of theatre or refining advanced techniques to continue pursuing theatre at its highest level, we challenge and support artists to reach their fullest potential in a creative and professional environment.

At Front Range Theatre Company, we believe in the power of community, fostering collaboration and connection among students, educators, and audiences to create a welcoming theatre home for all. We are dedicated to providing opportunity by breaking down barriers and ensuring that every student has access to meaningful, enriching theatrical experiences. We strive for excellence in training, performance, and mentorship, upholding the highest standards in everything we do. At the heart of FRTC is a passion for growth, supporting the personal and professional development of our students while encouraging resilience, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
