Elevation Community Land Trust

A nonprofit organization

Elevation CLT makes homeownership more accessible for Colorado families through the community land trust model, a proven tool for creating and preserving accessible, inclusive communities for generations. While most community land trusts are concentrated in a single neighborhood, Elevation CLT has the flexibility to serve any community in Colorado where families are priced out of the market at risk of displacement. ECLT has over 200 homeowners with a goal to have 1,100 homes in its portfolio by 2027. These homes will be permanently affordable to low- and middle-income households.

Mission

Elevation Community Land Trust partners with Colorado communities to create equitable opportunities for families through permanently affordable homeownership.

Background Statement

ECLT was established in 2017 to scale the community land trust model to create permanently affordable homeownership opportunities through public private partnerships.

ECLT utilizes the CLT model to create and preserve affordability in Colorado communities, so that families have the opportunity to thrive and generate intergenerational wealth, and communities can maintain a stable workforce and diverse neighborhoods. By investing a one-time subsidy in the land, ECLT is able to serve generations of low and moderate income homebuyers. ECLT is the only CLT in Colorado addressing permanently affordable homeownership statewide.
