Mission
elevateHER's mission is to foster self-worth and grit in young women through mentoring, outdoor adventure, and holistic wellness programs.
Background Statement
Founded in 2017, elevateHER is a Chaffee County Colorado based youth serving nonprofit providing young womxn the opportunity to cultivate resilience, fortitude, and tenaciousness while developing physical and mental strength through a unique blend of outdoor adventure, mentoring and holistic wellness.
elevateHER seamlessly weaves critical out-of-school education such as mental wellness, healthy relationships, women's health, and resiliency into our outdoor adventure curriculum. Girls practice various mental health awareness techniques such as yoga, meditation, journaling, and mindfulness in conjunction with our physical health promoting curriculum. Every session involves a service project that allows the girls to give back to their community through volunteerism.
elevateHER addresses the opportunity gap that exists for young womxn in Chaffee County by identifying and removing barriers to participation in outdoor recreation; mentoring and mental health supports; leadership and workforce development opportunities; as well as substance use prevention curriculum.
We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to feel a sense of connectedness to her community while developing skills to become a successful, resilient, adult.
