Mission

Our mission is to provide services and activities to older adults which enhance dignity, support independence and encourage involvement in the community." FVSC provides many services including providing countywide leadership and advocacy as well as direct services, such as transportation, nutritious meals, socialization, recreation, information, networking and referrals. These services help to avoid the premature institutionalization and ensure an increased quality of life for older adults.

Background Statement

Fountain Valley Senior Center was established on June 25, 1975. Over the past 44 years, FVSC has provided comprehensive and coordinated services to older adults and adults with disabilities in the southern and eastern areas of El Paso County. FVSC primarily serves older adults who reside in the greater Fountain, Security, Stratmoor Valley, Southmoor and Widefield areas of southern El Paso County, Colorado, as well as seniors residing in Falcon, Ellicott, Rush, Yoder, Peyton and Calhan.
