Affordable housing echoes and intersects so many other challenges in our local communities: poverty, unemployment, food insecurity, racism and discrimination, and health to name a few.Â
We recognize that these echoes are at play whenever housing is unstable or not accessible for all. There are many services in Boulder County that address placement in housing. There are fewer eyes on affordable housing policy and accountability of policy-makers to regular people  - like YOU. Â
As an independent, nonprofit organization - independent of government, politics, or business interests - ECHO wants to amplify your voice and influence the development of equitable, affordable housing in East Boulder County.Â
ECHO focuses on affordable and inclusive housing policy. Our mission is inform, educate, and train residents, commuters, and policymakers in East Boulder County on affordable housing needs, local projects, and how to be effective local advocates and decision-makers, respectively, in Eastern Boulder County. Our goal is to provide tools for individuals to self-empower, share their voices, and hold policymakers accountable.
ECHO envisions people having access to affordable, quality housing in the communities in which they work, study, and play. The unjust systems that prevent this are only altered by working together and demanding change. ECHO strives to bring people together to educate and empower our communities so this can become a reality.
