  • SUPPORT THE EAST COLFAX COMMUNITY COLLECTIVE (EC3)!

    The EC3’s mission is to fight displacement and build collective power in our community to shape our own destiny. We are so blessed to be able to organize with the residents and small businesses of East Colfax and Northwest Aurora to have a direct impact on the policies and decisions that impact our neighborhood.

    The EC3 has built up critical programs that have kept  hundreds of East Colfax residents housed over the past six years. Due to a $175,000 reduction in the City of Denver’s funding for our eviction defense programs, we are currently fighting to be able to maintain our current level of services.

    We need our community’s support now more than ever. Please give generously this Colorado Gives Day and show your love for East Colfax!

    With your donations the EC3 will continue to provide critical anti-displacement infrastructure to help our community stay and thrive in East Colfax:

    Housing Assistance–Our Housing Assistance Campaign has now helped more than 2417 households, intervened to stop more than 634 evictions, and won more than 4.8 million in housing assistance since 2021.

    Food Incubation–EC3 is now going on our third year of running our Food Incubation program, training leaders from the immigrant and refugee community on how to start and run their own food business;

    Tenant Associations–We are helping to stabilize and improve safety at prominent apartment complexes in East Colfax through organizing tenant associations that are having a significant impact on improving housing conditions

    Property Tax Reform–We are organizing to improve the rights of small business tenants to pay their property taxes in more manageable increments, in addition to strengthening their ability to  challenge and recover illegal fees

    Food Security–In partnership with Park Hill United Methodist Church, the EC3 is working to increase housing stability through the Agape Food Pantry, which now runs 6 food distributions per month and is on track to distribute more than 135,000 lbs of food in the next year.

    Community Ownership–The EC3 continues to advance our EC-Mixed Income Neighborhood Trust, and we are working to purchase, rehabilitate, and stabilize rents at hundreds of apartments in the next five years.

     We are so honored to fight alongside our members and our community as we work to manifest and be the change that we want to see in our neighborhood.

    Thank you for believing in EC3, and for standing with East Colfax!
