Durango Baseball & Softball (DBS) offers community-based baseball and softball opportunities for all children in Durango and throughout southwest Colorado.
Have fun. Build community. Develop players.
During the spring and fall seasons, Durango batting cages and baseball/softball fields see over 1000 uses weekly. The surface of several cages is substandard and your donation will help us improve the surfaces of these cages, as well as improve field surfaces and equipment. This would allow all DBS players access to better training facilities and equipment, the most equitable way to raise the level of baseball and softball opportunities in our community. Today's donation will help us improve Durango batting cages and fields immediately.
All donations made between September 4-30, during the Youth Sports Giving Day campaign, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Daniels Fund and other generous donors. Please donate today and help us leverage this amazing generosity to improve baseball and softball opportunities in Durango and southwest Colorado. Durango Baseball & Softball (DBS) serves to instill in children and families the values of sportsmanship, service and teamwork so that they may grow to be healthy adults who love baseball and softball.
Durango Baseball & Softball (DBS) has been sponsoring amateur youth softball and baseball leagues for Durango and La Plata County boys and girls for over 20 years. DBS is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization with 501(c)3 status.
DBS became affiliated with Little League in 2012 and was Little League District (#4) with Cortez, Bayfield, Ignacio and Pagosa Springs. DBS became an independent organization in 2020 to allow more scheduling flexibility in our rural, mountain community.
In 2017, DBS added a fall baseball season and now draws teams from all over southwest Colorado to play in spring and fall leagues. In 2019, DBS added softball to the organization to provide additional support to Durango softball families.
