Dora Moore is the oldest continually operating school within the Denver Public School system. The PTSA supports this school by providing classroom materials, field trips, school events like the recent middle school dance, and enrichment opportunities like archery and music. Though some of the support provided is financial, most of the support provided by the PTSA is made possible by community members lending their time and expertise. This COLORADO GIVES DAY, we hope that you will consider supporting the Dora Moore PTSA in one of the following ways.
DONATE... Give money or ask other individuals and businesses to donate to the Dora Moore PTSA for COLORADO GIVES DAY, so that we can sponsor enrichment opportunities and better support our students and staff. We are currently working on getting a music program up and running at Dora Moore and would love to raise money so this program can continue next year, as well!
VOLUNTEER... Organize fun events or help out with any number of school projects and support our amazing school community by donating your time! Email us at DoraMoorePTSA@gmail.com or come to a PTSA meeting - the next meeting is Wednesday, November 29th at 4:15PM!
ADVOCATE... Sign the petition to ask the Denver School Board to make private fundraising for public schools more equitable. Email EquityinEducationDPS@gmail.com to get more information and to get involved.

Our mission is to foster trusting partnerships between parents, teachers, students, faculty and administration in service of co-creating a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces our core values, encourages involvement and volunteerism and advocates for every student to succeed. We aim to elevate the diversity, energy, and spirit of the Dora Moore community.
Background Statement
Dora Moore is the Denver School District's oldest continually operating school and remains just as critical now as it was back in 1890. It is located in the heart of Capitol Hill. It is one of the most racially diverse schools in the district and provides a high quality education to children that will grow up to become the decision makers of Denver in the not too distant future.
