The Denver Hospice is the leading provider of life-enhancing hospice and palliative care.  We help patients and their families get more from life.

The Denver Hospice provides comprehensive care and support including hospice and palliative care for ongoing illness, specialized care for veterans, integrative therapies to complement medical and dementia care.

The Denver Hospice is the only hospice in Colorado accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospices (NIJH) to meet end-of-life needs. And we’re the only hospice in Denver to earn Level 4 status in the We Honor Veterans certification.

The Denver Hospice staff provides patient care for physical symptoms through palliative care. Just as importantly, our qualified team provides emotional and grief support to families, patients, and caregivers.

Our Not-for-Profit Status

When our founders — Carolyn Jaffe, RN and Peter Van Arsdale, PhD — founded The Denver Hospice in 1978, they wanted it to be a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Community supporters agreed, believing that a mission-driven organization would be best for delivering the sensitive, high-quality care people deserve at the end of life.
