Testimonials

Denver Fire Department and the Foundation work together to fundraise and coordinate an annual Career Exploration Camp for Denver Public School students.
Parents are engaged in the response their students have to the Camp as indicated by this letter from Rebecca B., a camper parent, "I honestly can't thank you enough, for the most amazing experience my daughter has had this week at Camp. Not only does she come home every day so excited to tell us everything she did, but she overcame a fear of heights… This week has brought so much joy to her, and to see that brings so much joy to me. ….she said she wants to be a firefighter or paramedic when she grows up. Giving her an amazing goal for her future is something I have never heard from her before. Thank you for being amazing role models."

Mission

The mission of the Denver Fire Department Foundation is to support Denver Fire Department by providing public education, through efforts to improve firefighter safety and quality of life, and with direct resources to meet firefighter needs thereby improving public safety in the City and County of Denver.

Background Statement

Since our founding in 2007 by a group of dedicated business and community leaders, the Denver Fire Department Foundation has been committed to providing critical resources to enhance firefighter's safety and quality of life, and giving them a better chance of returning home to their families at the end of the day. Denver Fire Department Foundation has continued to work closely with leadership and operational staff to advocate and raise funding for the needs of the Department through grant writing and resource acquisition at the city, state and federal levels, as well as through private donors.

Our most important accomplishments in the recent year reflect our organization's goals of advocating and raising funds for the needs of the DFD, educating the public about the need to support Denver firefighters with equipment and health/wellness initiatives, and assisting the DFD with their public education outreach.
