Rotary Club of Denver Mile High Foundation

We fund and volunteer for local and global community development projects, collaborating with community organization experts in a number of areas, including:

1. Peace - We teach conflict management skills in the Reading for Peace program at Ashley Elementary School and with The Conflict Center.  We help refugee families from Afghanistan relocate in the US in partnership with Project Worthmore.  
2. Disease | Health - We assist mental health depression treatment with adults in Uganda in partnership with FineMind.  We promote mental health skills for youth in Colorado in partnership with BrainWise.   We have assisted community health fairs with 365 Health and vaccinations for COVID.  We are planning a menstrual health program for young women in India. 
3. Water - We helped improve accessibile water in Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Nicaragua communities
4. Education - We improved and developed libraries in Thailand and Zimbabwe communities. 
5. Jobs - We helped fund vocational skills for women in Zimbabwe and financed agribusiness storage for farmers in Nepal, working with local Rotary clubs. We are working with the Navajo reservation to develop technology skills and future jobs with area high school students.
6. Environment - We partner with The Park People to plant trees in Denver parks, canvass low canopy neighborhoods for recipients of low cost trees and help distribute and plant these trees.   We are working in Abuja, Nigeria to develop a community agroforest that also serves as a public recreation area.
7. Disaster - We provided humanitarian aid for Ukraine in the form of medical equipment and supplies.  We helped with natural disaster recovery in Colorado, Hawaii and Texas.
8. Life essentials - We help address local food insecurity serving and funding neighborhood distribution centers including Project Worthmore, Village Exchange, and Metro Caring.
