You are! We are, too! It's your curiosity that led a group of artists to create Curious Theatre Company back in 1997. Your dedication to investigating and grappling with the issues that our community faces every day through the medium of powerful, contemporary theatre has changed the cultural landscape of Denver for 28 seasons. You truly are Curious!

Our motto has long been "No Guts, No Story." Together, we have the guts to tackle the stories that are stirring up talk and emotion in our world. Eureka Day asked us to look at vaccines and consensus. JOB asked how the Internet can affect our mental health. We have examined diverse communities and viewpoints, and we have also looked back at history to see how it reflects society today. 

You have met us at every step: asking important questions, having relevant conversations, and looking for more productive ways to be. You have the Guts, and you help create the Story

Your identity, background, and experience are welcomed, valued, and essential to the vibrant storytelling we are committed to. We are strengthened by and guided by creativity, collaboration, and openness in our artistic choices, community engagement, and organizational culture. 

We are fearless pioneers of new work. In our nearly 30-year history, we have had over 20 World Premieres, making our mark on contemporary theatre. This year, you are helping us bring 2 new plays into the world, Bad Books and Another Kind of Silence. As well as 3 Regional Premieres, Eureka Day, JOB, and Furlough's Paradise.

All of this —the powerful plays, the new works, the inclusivity —makes Curious Theatre Company a place where artists can thrive! You have helped us uphold an unwavering commitment to artistic and professional excellence. This has cultivated our local and national reputation as a destination for artists and playwrights to hone their crafts. 

Your continued support is vital. The post-pandemic theatre landscape is still daunting, and recent funding cuts have been felt from all sides. Ticket sales support roughly 40% of our budget. What truly keeps us alive and creating is the 60% that is funded through donors like you. We need your support now more than ever.
