CBA operates as a trusted connector in the Denver metro area, partnering with schools, providers, and community organizations. Its core programs, including the Connect, Advocate, and Educate. We have culturally tailored workshops, bridge participants to essential services while honoring their identities and lived experiences. Through a bidirectional referral system and community-embedded approach, CBA ensures care remains person-centered, culturally relevant, and accessible.
Connect: Is CBA’s entry point for participant support, initiated through referrals from trusted partners. CBA responds within 24 hours to assess urgent needs—such as mental health, housing, food, or employment—and links individuals to culturally aligned providers. By first addressing social determinants of health, CBA builds trust and creates a foundation for long-term engagement. Services are offered virtually, in person, or in community spaces, empowering participants to begin their wellness journey when ready.
Advocate: Is the final step in CBA’s service model, empowering participants and partners through ongoing education. Weekly workshops like Dad’s Life, Cultural Cooking, and Cultural Competence build resilience, cultural awareness, and community connection. These sessions address evolving needs by teaching practical skills for healthy living and personal growth. Dad’s Life supports and uplifts fathers, while Cultural Competence fosters humility and challenges bias. By closing the loop with education, CBA ensures participants leave equipped to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The Advocate Program offers personalized case management for individuals who’ve engaged with CBA through the Connect Program. We provide short-term emotional and behavioral support via one-on-one or group sessions, especially when culturally relevant therapy is delayed or unavailable. Through our bidirectional referral model, participants can return to CBA if external services don’t meet their cultural needs. This ensures continuous, culturally aligned care and helps refine our partnerships based on client feedback.
