We have the team. We have the passion. We have 20+ years of collective experience. Now, we just need the room.

For years, CAWS has operated as a foster-based rescue. We have saved lives in our living rooms, rehabilitated animals in our backyards, and built a powerhouse team of experts who know exactly what it takes to heal trauma.

But we have hit a ceiling. To fully realize our mission of Dual-Trauma Informed Care—where animals and humans heal together—we cannot rely on a network of temporary foster homes alone. We need a sanctuary. We need a neutral, safe, and permanent space where the fence line marks the end of fear and the beginning of peace.

Our adoption program connects horses and other equines with loving, responsible adoptive homes, to reduce instances of abandonment and provide a second chance at life for those in need.
