Colorado State Thespians

A nonprofit organization

The vision of Colorado Thespians is to elevate Colorado communities through inclusive, accessible, and inspiring arts education for all.

Each December thespians from all across the state gather at the Colorado Convention Center for ThesCon, the largest educational theatre conference of its kind in the Rocky Mountain region. ThesCon welcomes students grades six through twelve and their Thespian troupe sponsors to this one of a kind event where passion for theatre meets a warm and welcoming community. Here, students find their voice. Their sense of belonging. Their community.

Access to arts education has been proven to support the social and emotional well being of students. Your donation will help support robust arts experiences that foster the health, wellbeing, and skill development in a diverse range of teenagers in communities throughout Colorado.

Colorado Thespians also strives to support the development of Colorado Theatre Educators. Each September the organization hosts the Colorado Thespians Educator Conference (CTEC), the largest fixed theatre educator conference in the region. CTEC provides workshops in educational pedagogy and production skills. Communities for theatre educators are difficult to come by, as most theatre teachers are the only one of their kind in their buildings. CTEC offers a place for educators to network, share ideas, and grow as individuals and as a community of storytellers and future shapers.
