As you might imagine, the cost to rescue, feed and vaccinate these adorable animals is very high. But CPR continues to be dedicated to the health and well being of these puppies and the families who adopt them.

Three years after my beloved Willow, an awesome Aussie Shepard, died, I met someone from Colorado Puppy Rescue. They took me, protesting that I never wanted another dog, to an adoption event. Well, I didn't adopt that day, but it opened my heart and within three months I did adopt a puppy from Colorado Puppy Rescue. Now I have two from Colorado Puppy Rescue and we are a very happy family.
Casey was the most pitiful looking think I had ever seen. He was skinny and scared and not at all the puppy I thought I would adopt. But something about those big brown eyes got to me, the ladies told me about his personality and I took him home. Today he is healthy and the most social little dog at the park.
Mission
The mission of Colorado Puppy Rescue shall be to rescue young puppies needing homes, provide them with medical attention and place them into an adoptive home. Of particular interest will be rescue efforts carried out primarily in rural areas of great need. Providing a placement system whereby puppies that are not accepted by other organizations for whatever reason, can be placed into homes, rather than be destroyed.
Background Statement
Our first adoption event on Oct. 22, 2005 with three puppies adopted.
Now, with the help of over 200 foster families and over 75 active volunteers, CPR averages 20 puppy adoptions a week.
From 2005 to now our volunteers have helped to rescue and find homes for more than 17,000 puppies.
