The state of Colorado has over 34,000 nonprofits with over 182,000 employees and ONE organization represents them all — the Colorado Nonprofit Association. For nearly four decades the Colorado Nonprofit Association has been the voice of the nonprofit industry, working to advocate, educate and connect our members, strengthening their ability and capacity to do their transformative work.
Our mission is to lead, serve and strengthen Colorado's nonprofit community to improve the quality of life throughout our state. We strive to achieve a bold vision: Colorado has the nation's most effective, vibrant and innovative nonprofit community essential to the quality of life in our state.
Our nonprofit organizations provide resources for those in need, elevate voices, fight to sustain our environment and enrich human experiences.
To fulfill our mission for this economically significant and critically important sector, the Colorado Nonprofit Association provides values to its members in three key areas:
1. Advocate: Leads adoption and implementation of state-level legislation and public policies that strengthen nonprofits and communities through its advocacy program.
2. Connect: Ensures staff and boards of nonprofit organizations connect and learn from each other and leverage cross-sector partnerships through in-person and virtual events and roundtable discussions.
3. Educate: Provides educational programming and publications to help enhance organizational health and increase the capacity of nonprofits to meet their missions.
