The origin of CFAA goes back to 2008. We were incorporated in the State of Colorado October 2008 as a non-profit by Anitha Ajay and Ajay Chankramath. The original name of CFAA was MSI Media. During the first 2 years, CFAA had a much narrower focus by promoting the ideas behind creating the historical cataloging on music related information, producing new music with pre-eminent artists and sponsoring light and classical music concerts worldwide.
In June of 2010, we applied to IRS for the 501(C)(3) Tax exemption with a mission as we see today. After the application was made, we started recruiting a broader set of board of directors from various sections of the community. Our board of directors was in place by January of 2011. When the IRS approval for 501(C)(3) tax
exemption came about in Feb 2011, we were ready to change our name to the current 'Colorado Fine Arts Association' under the guidance of the new set of board of directors.
