Support female filmmakers by donating to the Colorado Film Institute! The Colorado Film Institute stages the annual Vail Film Festival in order to showcase female filmmakers, and support aspiring female writers, directors, and actors via panel discussions, master classes, and film screenings.

Additionally, the festival has offered, and continues to offer, free tickets to local students to attend the film screenings and educational programs. Mission

The Colorado Film Institute supports the film arts through the annual Vail Film Festival. The 16th annual Vail Film Festival will take place April 4-7, 2019 in Vail and is dedicated to showcasing, celebrating, educating, and supporting female filmmakers through panel discussions, seminars, master classes, and film screenings.

The Colorado Film Institute supports the film arts through the annual Vail Film Festival, taking place in early April in Vail, Colorado since April, 2004. The festival has showcased over 1000 films and hosted thousands of filmmakers, including acclaimed actors, directors, writers and producers. Recent tribute recipients and special guests include Christina Ricci, Aya Cash, Julie Delpy, Olivia Wilde, Krysten Ritter, Allison Janney, Kat Coiro, Valerie Weiss, and many others. In 2016 the Vail Film Festival has focused on showcasing, educating, and celebrating female filmmakers and will continue our mission to support female artists for the 2019 Vail Film Festival.
