The Colorado Youth Empowerment Center (CYEC) is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to helping young people build the skills, relationships, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Our work is rooted in youth prevention and positive youth development. By connecting young people to positive, prosocial activities, supportive adults, leadership opportunities, and meaningful community involvement, we strengthen protective factors that can reduce the likelihood of substance use and other risk behaviors.
Through free youth programs, participants build leadership and professional skills, develop a stronger sense of belonging, and work together to identify community issues and create hands-on service and civic engagement projects.
Your donation helps keep our youth programs 100% free and accessible while providing the resources young people need to learn, grow, and lead.
Your support directly funds:
Weekly meals for youth participating in our programs.
Supplies and materials for leadership activities, workshops, and creative projects.
Youth-led service projects that address real community needs.
Youth stipends and leadership opportunities that recognize young people's time and contributions.
Community events and experiences that help youth build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections.
Thank you for supporting CYEC and investing in the well-being and future of young people in our community.
Our mission is to empower youth to lead meaningful change in their communities. We enhance their leadership and civic skills by connecting them with local opportunities, community partners, and policymakers: supporting them to transform their ideas into action and spearhead projects that address issues impacting their lives and their world.
