The Colorado State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA) has been part of Colorado’s child welfare community since 1971. We exist to support, empower, and connect the foster, kinship, and adoptive families who open their homes to children in need as well as families who have reunified after a child welfare case.

Our work is hands-on and deeply personal. We provide training, advocacy, and trauma-informed resources that help caregivers build stability and confidence, which ultimately helps children heal and thrive.

We collaborate closely with county departments, state agencies, and community partners to bridge gaps between systems and the families they serve.

Right now, CSFPA is powered by a dedicated group of trained volunteers who lead programs and outreach across the state. Many of them are caregivers themselves and give more than 20 hours each week as facilitators, coordinators, and mentors.

The Colorado State Foster Parent Association exists to strengthen families affected by the child welfare system in Colorado. We provide tangible support, advocacy, and training to foster, kinship, adoptive, and reunified families.

Partner with us to bring hope and lasting change to children and families.
