Mission
Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery is a non-profit all volunteer organization that has chosen to undertake the role of recovering stuck, stranded or damaged vehicles from 4x4 and Forest Service roads in the Colorado Region while working with state and federal agencies that oversee those same roads. Designed to provide rapid response to threats to health, welfare, and safety, Colorado 4x4 Rescue & Recovery will deploy qualified individuals with a dedication to public service and the 4x4 community:
To provide unpaid professional vehicle and person rescue and recovery services on Colorado service roads and 4x4 trails.
To Provide education to the public regarding preparedness and safe off-roading practices
To support other organizations in advocating proper trail use and etiquette.
To provide opportunities for members of the 4x4 community to engage in recovery operations and learn safe recovery practices.
To support local government and volunteer organizations in search and rescue operations.
To sponsor, host, and/or participate in events and activities that promote the 4x4 hobby.
To foster a culture of mutual respect and professionalism.
