Support the Heart of Our Community — The Historic Coaldale Schoolhouse
The Historic Coaldale Schoolhouse has stood proudly in the Arkansas River Valley for over a century. Once a bustling school, it now serves as the vibrant heart of our community—bringing together residents of Coaldale, Howard, Cotopaxi, Salida, Westcliffe, and beyond.
Today, the Schoolhouse is more than just a building. It’s a gathering place, a cultural venue, and a symbol of small-town connection. Throughout the year, it hosts an ever-growing list of community-building events, including:
Farmer’s Markets
Workshops & Educational Classes
Celebrations & Festivals
Seed Exchanges & Support Groups
Concerts & Music Gatherings
Exercise & Wellness Classes
And now, a dedicated space for our local volunteer fire department!
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Coaldale Community Building Association (CCBA) relies on the generous support of neighbors like you—near and far.
💡 This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and every contribution makes a real difference. Whether you can give $5 or $500, your support helps us preserve this historic landmark and keep it thriving for generations to come.
Double Your Impact!
If you're a Sangre de Cristo Electric Association (SDCEA) customer, your donation could be matched—up to $200!
