Classrooms for Climate Action was born out of a simple but powerful belief: the fight against climate change starts with education. As educators and environmental advocates, we’ve seen firsthand the passion and curiosity of students who want to make a difference, but we also know the challenges teachers face in bringing climate action into their classrooms. That’s why we created this organization—to support educators and empower students to take meaningful steps toward a sustainable future.

For us, this work is deeply personal. We’ve stood in classrooms where students asked, “What can we do?” and we’ve witnessed the power of hands-on learning to inspire real change. Providing teachers with resources and connections to local organizations that support systemic changes, we aim to turn the inspiration into action. Our framework is built on the knowledge that climate justice and social justice are intertwined, and we need to work as a community to make systemic changes to policies and practices. We equip students with tools to use their voices, ideas, and efforts in supporting current and future climate actions.
