Mission
The mission of Christian World Outreach is to participate with the body of Christ in responsible evangelism, to bring dignity, self worth and encouragement through leadership development, and to meet the physical needs of people through humanitarian assistance.
Background Statement
CWO was founded in 1977 after a visit to Haiti brought the devastating poverty and immense need to the attention of a group of individuals who wanted to help the people of Haiti. Leaving Haiti with a sense they needed to do something that would make a difference, CWO was formed. At first CWO focused work on conducting evangelistic youth camps for young people (ages 13 to 30). CWO has now grown to an organization that offers vocational training for women, leadership development, children's care & feeding programs, assistance for the elderly, Bible study for single moms, boys camps & medical & health assistance. Currently, CWO operates in Burkina Faso, Haiti, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
