We are God’s love in action through relief, Christian care, and education to children, widows, and families in Uganda - for His glory!
ChristAid International exists to offer hope and a future for desperately poor people in Uganda. Through local partnerships, child and grandmother sponsorships, a preschool, a primary school and a secondary school, home construction, and medical care, we provide education, employment, economic stability, and opportunity to the rural people of Fort Portal and Kicuna, Uganda

Background Statement
ChristAid was started in 1995 by a Ugandan from Kicuna named David Mporampora. Since that time, we have built preschool, primary and secondary schools that provide high quality Christian education to over 1200 rural children in Uganda.
ChristAid schools are typically ranked as the #1 schools in the region of several hundred schools. Our students go on to university or vocational schools, and become workers, business owners, family members, and leaders in their communities and in the country of Uganda.
Our Ahadi Kids and Grandmas for Jesus sponsorship ministries provide education for impoverished children, care for aging and alone widows, and independence and self-sustainability for the ministry in Uganda and the people we serve there.
Ahadi Kids is our child sponsorship program. The most impoverished rural children in our service area are able to attend our schools where they receive an excellent Christ-based education -- and hope for their futures. These children could never attend school without the support and love of their sponsors.
Grandmas for Jesus was developed to care for desperately poor women who are aging and alone, and often caring for many grandchildren. Over 200 Grandmas participate in the ministry, thanks to the generous support of their monthly sponsors in the US. Grandmas receive a monthly stipend, pastoral care, and assistance with health care. Nearly 40 Grandmas have received new, safe homes built by the "Shelters in the Storm" ministry, a group of 45 local men who learn job skills and faith-based ministry as they support our building projects.
In addition to these core ministries, we have built housing for our teachers (a common practice in Uganda), a headquarters building, a variety of revenue-generating projects to promote independence and self-sustainability for the ministry in Uganda, food farms for our children and widows, water and road projects to increase access to resources for local people, and more.
Our most current project is a tilapia farm! The fish will feed our children, and the ministry will sell excess fish to produce revenues that will make movement in the direction of independence and self-sustainability.
