Background Statement

Challenge to Excellence began 25 years ago with two modular buildings and a vision to create something different—a school where students would be challenged, inspired, and empowered through innovative, S.T.E.A.M.-focused education.

What began as a small school community has grown into a thriving kindergarten through eighth-grade public charter school serving 675 students each year. Throughout that growth, C2E has remained grounded in the belief that meaningful learning extends beyond the classroom, encouraging students to explore, create, lead, and discover.

For 25 years, generations of families, educators, students, and community partners have invested their time, talents, and resources to help build C2E into the school it is today. Their contributions have strengthened our programs, expanded opportunities for students, and created a lasting foundation for future generations.

As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we honor the people who helped shape our story while looking ahead to what comes next. With the continued support of our community, C2E is committed to building on 25 years of S.T.E.A.M. excellence and creating meaningful opportunities for the students who will carry our legacy forward.
